Mindful Employer is a national initiative supporting employers to take a positive approach towards mental health at work.

By signing the Mindful Employer charter Care Dynamics have made a public declaration of our ambition to support the mental wellbeing of our entire staff team by following a ten-step approach.

THE TEN STEPS

  • ENGAGE: We will engage with our staff team and increase their awareness of mental health.

Step 1: We will take stock of our workplace mental health.

Step 2:  We will raise awareness of our commitment to creating a mentally healthy workplace.

Step 3: We will communicate the resources and support available and ensure they can be easily accessed by all staff.

Step 4: We will increase awareness of mental health.

  • EDUCATE: We will help our staff team to understand their role, building confidence and reducing stigma.

Step 5: We will tackle stigma in the workplace.

Step 6: We will ensure that staff understand their roles and feel valued.

Step 7: We will enable staff to develop skills and confidence to support each other.

  • EMBED: We will implement a solid approach to prevent bullying and discrimination and use a sustainable approach to supporting staff.

Step 8: We will minimise workplace stress.

Step 9: We will support staff with mental health difficulties to stay at or return to work.

Step 10: We will promote diversity and inclusion and take a zero-tolerance approach to discrimination, harassment, and bullying.
